For all that really know me, this is an amazing thing for me. A little back ground.. I can keep cut flowers alive for weeks! On the other hand I hardly ever (which basically means never) can keep potted plants alive at all. In fact I have an aloe plant that I am very surprised that it is alive still, it is holding by a thread. I think that the last time I watered it was a couple of months ago... poor plant! Then both Erik and Ben planted some beans at church things, and I killed them both. I felt really bad, so when Erik planted this at preschool, I was determined to keep it alive. I left it by the sink so that I would remember to water it, and every day when I opened the window, I would put it up there to get light. I did it and it even grew beans! Erik and I were very proud that it grew! Some day I will get my garden going. I am welcoming any hints to keeping your house plants alive.. my biggest problem seems to be remembering to water them....

I have a bad habit of killing plants too. Succulents are the way to go, like your aloe plant. They can live a long time without being watered. Spider plants are notorious for long lives too. Of course, the only reason any of my plants are still alive is because I had to leave them at my parents' when I moved!

Yea for bean plants...they seem to grow no matter what you do to them (speaking from experience).

Maybe pick a day and always water on that day. Like, Sunday morning, as you think about going to Sacrament, think about water and then water your plants... I don't know. LOL

Water house plants only once a week. Water food plants (garden)every day. I had to water house plants at the restaurant I worked at every Wednesday. Before that, I killed every house plant that I had.
