The making of the sand box!

These are the pictures that I said that I would post... and haven't until now... better late then never.. Right! We had to peel away the sod...
Then Tony made the box with the help of his brother Andrew... and I realized that even after just a year of wear and tear.. it needed to be stained....
This is the staining half way through....
We got the sand from the people right behind our house.. so they were nice enough to dump it right in... it was a bit harder then we thought it would be (we had to take out a post), but it was still a ton easier then wheeling it from the front.
Here it is finished... well, okay I still need to stain the swing part... and it is still like that today. The kids have loved it and I love sending them out to play in it... as long as we can keep most of the sand outside.... which each night Ben has a layer of sand on the inside of his shoes. So, needless to say that part is a helpless battle, but it is worth it!
