I love this kid. He is very thoughtful, caring, and learning so much these days at school. Which he loves. He loves having a lot of friends. He keeps telling me that everyone in his class knows his name... although then I ask him if he knows everyones names and he says no. I think that the social adjustment in school has settled down and I am so grateful for that. I had forgotten how difficult it was in kindergarten.
I am so grateful to have Erik in my family and to be able to watch him grow in so many ways. I am glad that he has good friends and that they keep learning everyday how to be better friends.
Erik had the Primary Program this last Sunday and he was so excited. He practiced his line and the songs a lot to make sure that he had them down. Then the night before he made sure that he called Grandma and Grandpa to remind them to come. I was woken that morning to his face right in front of mine and him asking "Aren't you so excited?!?". I love it. He did so well with his line and sang really loud on all the songs. I love how he's growing out of his shyness.
Erik thank you for being my son, and being in our family. You did great on your Primary Program.

We love Erik too!!!! And I wish I could say the same about Dalan and his Primary Program experience:(
Don't worry Rochelle... Erik didn't enjoy it as much his first year. The second was totally different.
So many things to LOVE about this post!
1) There's nothing like cool new snow boots to rock a kid's world.
2) I love that you had him buy his t-shirt himself. GREAT teaching moment.
3) I love that you love him. Very sweet, heartfelt post.
What a sweet post to your darling boy. Don't you love how into their snow boots kids get? Makes me smile.
